Great Bridge Swim and Racquet Club Piranhas

GBSRC is the proud home of the PIRANHAS. Our team has over 120 swimmers ages 4-18. 

Our team is a member of the Virginia Beach Swim League (VBSL) in the Marlin Division. The categories of swimmers are 6 & under (6U), 8U, 10U, 12U, 14U and 18U. A swimmer’s age group is determined by his or her age on June 15 of the current year.

We also offer a Guppies group for our 6 and under swimmers. The Guppies group serves beginner swimmers who meet the minimum safety requirement of being able to tread water unassisted, but who are not yet able to swim one full 25-meter length of the pool without stopping or support. Swimmers in this group will work on floating, kicking, basic arm movements, breathing techniques, and gaining confidence in deep and shallow water. This is an important transitional group before moving into the full swim team lineup.

2026 Registration Fees

GBSRC Members: 1st swimmer $135.00 and each additional swimmer $105.00.

Nonmembers: Invite-a-Friend is $255.00 for first swimmer and each additional swimmer is $205.00.

Promotional Summer Swim Membership is $550.00 now  to Labor Day weekend. Nonmembers (Invite-a-Friend) are not required to join the pool for the first year but are required to join the pool after the first year on the Piranha swim team.

If you do decide to join the pool for the summer for the first time and receive the promotional summer rate of $550.00, you are then able get the swimmer rate at $135.00 and then each additional swimmer is $105.00.
